The first tunnel group of the china-laos international corridor, yumoo railway, is completed

     

On November 30, no. 1 tunnel of the huangzhulin railway was completed in jinghong city, xishuangbanna dai autonomous prefecture, marking the smooth completion of the huangzhulin tunnel group, which is the first tunnel group of the china-laos international railway.



The tunnel group of huangzhulin is composed of three connected tunnels of huangzhulin no. 1, no. 2 and no. 3. Each tunnel passes through a mountain. Since the construction of the tunnel group started in September 2016, China power construction bureau no. 14 has successively overcome the difficulties of complicated geology and high requirements for environmental protection, overcome the difficulties one by one, and proceeded with the tunnel construction as planned.



"The whole line passes through the xishuangbanna wild elephant valley nature reserve and the tea garden of 10,000 mu along the line. In order to reduce the disturbance to Asian elephants, we have built a 6km fence to protect Asian elephants and will build another 30km fence later. The yumo-laos railway is part of the china-laos railway under construction in China. It connects to the yuxi river in yunnan province in the north and the han port on the china-laos border in the south. Yumo railway line is 508 kilometers long and is a national class I electrified railway with a speed target of 160 kilometers per hour. This is an important transportation infrastructure for China to promote "One Belt And One Road" construction and connectivity with neighboring countries.
